These Lightening heads have several remarkable swimming properties. Coupled with Lightning jerk lures they create an erratic and provocative swimming action. The dart type movements can be generated by sharp pulls on the rod tip or by pumping the rod sharply on the retrieve. Pumping will create some slack as you drop the rod and if you control this properly the lure will glide and change direction ready for the next pull. To increase you chances of a take in open water ILLEX have fitted and attachment to the underside of the head for a dropper hook, either attached directly to the head with a split ring or set apart from the lure with a short fluorocarbon dropper.
